kwrited software package provides Read and write console output to X., you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kwrited
kwrited is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kwrited package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kwrited *
You will get with kwrited package name, version, architecture and description in a table
